The Synod of Bishops have released their talking points for the next meeting in 2008. Considering the shining success of this past year's Synod, namely the exhortation Sacramentum Caritatis, I am elated by this news. They will be examining the role of Scripture in the Life and Mission of the Church, especially as it relates to the Eucharist.

Not long ago I saw Scott Hahn speak about this very topic. He explained how the entire Mass is Biblical, a theme explored at length in his book, The Lamb's Supper. I encourage you to take his online course, walking you through his text not chapter by chapter but concept by concept. You can see why his students hold him in such high esteem.
