Carnival prize

I'm a little behind in checking my emails, and there have been two Catholic Carnivals since last I checked. In one of them I found this post, which holds a good reminder: The Offertory is a time for us to make a spiritual offering. The prayers we send up to the Lord at that moment are carried in union with all the sacrifices of the Mass throughout the world. As the priest is naming the saints, include your own in prayer. As he is naming those for whom the Mass is being said or mentioning the sick, include your own special intentions. As he is naming the Pope, the Bishop, and the clergy, include your family. Place those petitions at the altar of your heart. God ordained that moment in the liturgy- make use of it!
