My favorite President of all time is honored today. Not only did he create Thanksgiving, he kept the Union intact, and set the stage for Emancipation. So much has been written of his life, I haven't much else to offer, only to cast my vote of admiration. To have the courage to stand firm by virtuous principles that define what it means to be American, what it means to be human- such integrity has rarely graced the chambers of government. May he rest in peace~
