Again, Benedict XVI's portrayal of himself as God's pack animal sounds eerily similar to St. Benedict Joseph Labre's description of himself as "Brother Ass". Fascinating.

This certainly dashes any attempts to portray Ratzinger as a campaigner for the position! How wonderful that he is so humble and yet so aware of the magnitude of his calling. Thank you Holy Spirit for answering the prayers of the world!
