Grattitude

If you have not done so, I highly recommend you watch 99 Balloons on YouTube. It's available on a number of sites including American Papist, Clairity Daily, and the CIN blog.

Because of it, I've had the Matt Redman song "Blessed be the name of the Lord" stuck in my head all day. I am reminded that I have so much to be thankful for, so much that I have wagered as loss rather than blessing, so much that I have failed to receive with trust that God is always divinely Provident. I have stood with Lucifer shaking my fist, crossing my arms like an insolent child.

Blessed be your name
When the sun's shining down on me
When the world's all as it should be
Blessed be your name

Blessed be your name
On the road marked with suffering
Though there's pain in the offering
Blessed be your name

Every blessing you pour out,
I turn back to praise
When the darkness closes in, Lord
Still I will say...
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be your name
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be your glorious name

You give and take away
You give and take away
My heart will choose to say
Lord, Blessed be your name

In sunshine or suffering the Lord has attended to my needs, has offered me the gift of Himself.

Now I can stand with St.Luke, holding out a hand of healing, and accepting the hand of God.
Lord, touch me, wherever I have wounds~
