To read and not to read

Everyone and their mother has been blogging about two publications:

1. Pullman's Compass, which you should not purchase and

2. Spe Salvi, which you must read and make a clever pun about in your post title. "Hope is here" proclaims the Curt Jester, or "Hope it's good" said another blogger.

I won't even bother providing links to everyone's commentary. Browse. Be informed. But know that only one of the above authors has your best interests at heart and the other is out to get your children.
