So this is too delicious not to revel in it for a moment. I think someone should win an award for pointing this out. Does anyone make laughingstocks in Europe, and if so can one be shipped to each of the 67 professors at Sapienza? The attached note would read:

"Dear Absent-minded Professors,

Congratulations! You have been made a laughingstock in Europe.
I'd hate to say 'i told you so'-- but you never really gave me the chance.
