Now this is how the birth of Jesus Christ came about. When his mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph, 7 but before they lived together, she was found with child through the holy Spirit.
- 19
- Joseph her husband, since he was a righteous man, 8 yet unwilling to expose her to shame, decided to divorce her quietly.
- 20
- Such was his intention when, behold, the angel of the Lord 9 appeared to him in a dream and said, "Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary your wife into your home. For it is through the holy Spirit that this child has been conceived in her.
- 21
- She will bear a son and you are to name him Jesus, 10 because he will save his people from their sins."
- 22
- All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet:
- 23
- 11 "Behold, the virgin shall be with child and bear a son, and they shall name him Emmanuel," which means "God is with us."
- 24
- When Joseph awoke, he did as the angel of the Lord had commanded him and took his wife into his home.
- 25
- He had no relations with her until she bore a son, 12 and he named him Jesus.
- When [the wise men] had departed, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream and said, "Rise, take the child and his mother, flee to Egypt, 7 and stay there until I tell you. Herod is going to search for the child to destroy him."
- 14
- Joseph rose and took the child and his mother by night and departed for Egypt.
- 15
- 8 He stayed there until the death of Herod, that what the Lord had said through the prophet might be fulfilled, "Out of Egypt I called my son."
- When Herod had died, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared in a dream to Joseph in Egypt
- 20
- and said, "Rise, take the child and his mother and go to the land of Israel, for those who sought the child's life are dead." 10
- 21
- He rose, took the child and his mother, and went to the land of Israel.
- 22
- But when he heard that Archelaus was ruling over Judea in place of his father Herod, 11 he was afraid to go back there. And because he had been warned in a dream, he departed for the region of Galilee.
- 23
- 12 He went and dwelt in a town called Nazareth, so that what had been spoken through the prophets might be fulfilled, "He shall be called a Nazorean."

I totally disagree with you. I am a 23 year old women and I would never marry a guy who would refuse to wear a condom. NFP does not work and I ain't popping out more then 1 kid. My parents had 3 and I thought that was too many. I could do better then having annoying siblings pissing me off especially my oldest sibling. When there's more kids in the family parents don't devote their time, energy, and money towards making one child successful, rather from experience of knowing I mean many families of 7, 8 they have a fend for yourself mentality and that the Lord will provide. They argue how culture is so against them and how things are so bad yet other women of 2-3 work outside the home these mothers of 7 stay at home and just complain how things are rough how they can't afford many things. Well I always tell these people this no body forced you to pop 7 babies and there is such a thing as contraception. I am waiting for marriage right now but another thing I ain't going to be no 30,40 year old virgin 2) I don't think contraception is evil 3) Men who don't use contraception are Evil, cause they treat their women like rabbits who just pop babies all the time. The Church is made of humans and humans made dogma not God.
