Worthily

In the wake of much commotion regarding Pelosi's gaffe, it's wise to consider our own worthiness for reception of the Eucharist. The US Bishops remind and affirm certain basic elements:

Examen & Penance
One hour fast
Adoring participation at Mass

They review the dekalogue as a good definition of what constitutes grave sin, including but not limited to:

-missing Mass
-disobedience to parents
-murder
-extramarital sex
-immoral business practices
-slander
-pornography

The likelihood that most of us have contributed to the state of sin in the world should give us pause to reconsider our enthusiastic denunciations of Pelosi. Rather, let us actively participate at Mass by offering up intentions for the DNC leadership raised Catholic but no longer faithful, that their stone hearts may be broken and new ones received.
