Venerating Solanus

Catholic View posts a wonderful homage to one of my favorite people. I dressed as Venerable Solanus Casey for Halloween this year. Being a fellow Detroiter, I've always held him in special esteem.

November is a good month to pray the Holy Father's intention: "That the testimony of love offered by the saints may fortify Christians in their devotion to God and neighbor, imitating Christ who came to serve and not to be served."

Few exemplified this more than Solanus, the porter of St. Bonaventure.
