Abortion perpetuates Slavery

What dawned on me after reading D.P.Moloney's three-part series of articles [1, 2, and 3] at Public Discourse is that Abortion and Slavery are even more related than I've said before.

U.S. family-planning policies are actually a continuation of the ideals of the slave-owners. 'Keeping black people down' has been so ingrained in our domestic policy, even our black President can't see it for what it is.

The pro-life movement is not only akin to the Abolitionist movement, it picks up where the civil rights movement left off. It wasn't enough to protect black people under the law. Now we have to protect them from the law itself, from a polis infatuated with vice.

Such insidiously persistent hatred of the human race can only have one source: let us pray and fast to ward off Satan. Let us hasten to our Immaculate Mother, under whose mantle this nation will find the only possible antidote~

Hail, Holy Queen, Mother of Mercy,
our life, our sweetness, and our hope!
To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve.
To thee do we send up our sighs,
mourning and weeping in this valley of tears.
Turn then, most gracious advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us, and,
after this, our exile, show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb,

JESUS~

O clement, o loving, o sweet Virgin Mary!
Pray for us, o holy Mother of God,
that we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.

Amen.

Queen of the Angels,

invoke the protection of St. Michael against the culture of Death~
invoke dear St. Raphael that healing will take place~
invoke St. Gabriel that children will be received with gladness~

implore the Mercy of your Son on our behalf,
who have so greatly offended the Lord,
in whose image and likeness we were fashioned in the womb~

help us to announce a year of favor by our sacrifices,
our renunciation of selfish flesh,
and our dignification of all humanity by our practice of virtue.

Let this be done according to the will of the Father,
who declared all life good, and of the Son,
who redeems all life from destruction, and of the Holy Spirit,
who never leaves us to face our perils alone.

Amen. Alleluia!
