Papist Nationalism

So today is the Feast of the Lateran Basilica. To honor the occasion, I have hung the flag of the Holy See in my front window, and I will keep it displayed until next week, the 18th, when we celebrate the Feast of the Dedication of the Basilicas of St. Peter and St Paul. During that time we will celebrate the feast of Pope St. Leo the Great, who did more to define the papacy than any other one before him.
