Baby Boomers as a generation have been able to command an outsized influence on so many aspects of culture simply because they are a numerical majority and not because their contribution has any merit or worth. It appears they will exert this influence until they are at last impeded by the great equalizer, but by then the damage (and superlatively poor taste in nearly everything of consequence) they have wrought will have unmoored society from the greatness their parents fought and died to preserve.
