Oh wondrous Bishop~
Santa Claus is not a myth. He lived for Jesus with such singular devotion that his acts of Christian service are still remembered centuries later.
Today, some very lucky children will receive a candy cane. Will St. Nick be responsible? I believe so. The confection reminds us of this famous Shepherd of the Church-- who in turn reminds us of the Good Shepherd, our Lord and Savior.
Follow the example of Santa Claus and live for Jesus by bringing true joy into the lives of children.
